Multi-Material Shaft [Golf]
A shaft that is comprised of a graphite (composite) portion as well as a steel portion. Such a two-piece shaft establishes unique bending properties when compared to a typical one-material shaft.
  
Multi-Metal [Golf]
Eneric term given to any golf club that has two or materials in its composition. For example, a stainless steel iron with brass sole eights is considered to be a multi-metal iron
  
Multi-Port Fuel Injection [Motor Sports]
An electronic fuel-injection method that uses individual injectors to spray fuel directly into each intake port, bypassing the intake manifold. Also called multi-point fuel injection.
  
Multi-Way [Poker]

Multi-Way Pot [Poker]
A pot with more than two players.
  
Multicast [General]
A speciality wager combining Straight Forecasts in Doubles, Trebles, etc.
  
Multihull [Sailing]
Any boat with more than one hull, such as a catamaran or trimaran.
  
Multiple Deck [Blackjack]
A phrase used to describe games, usually blackjack, in which more than one deck of cards is used.
  
Multiple Foul [Basketball]
The situation in which a player is fouled by two opponents at approximately the same time, with the second foul coming before the whistle has blown because of the first foul. Each foul carries a separate penalty. Compare double foul; false double foul; false multiple foul.
  
Multiple Security Deposits [Motor Sports]
A lessee may choose to pay additional security deposits (or monthly payments up-front) in exchange for a lower monthly lease payment via a reduced money factor, which reduces the monthly charges.
  
Multiple Winners [Bingo]
If two or more players bingo at the same time, the cash prize is divided among them. For example, if there are five winners on a $500 game, they each receive $100.
  
Multiples [General]
This involves picking the winners of more than one event. A single wager amount is placed on more than one outcome, whereby the stake and winnings of the first selection will be rolled over onto the second selection and so on.
  
Multiplied Odds [General]
A term usually applying to Ante-Post doubles where the odds are multiplied, e.g., 10/1 and 10/1 equals odds of 100 to 1.
  
Mune [Martial Arts]
Chest or abdomen.
  
Municipal Course [Golf]
A public course owned by local government.
  
Munjaneka [Archery]
Balistas used by the Tartar Ali at the siege of Chitore, late 13th century.
  
Murder [Poker]
Variation on Chicago games. Murder plays the same as Seven Card Stud except with the following exceptions: If the queen of spades is ever dealt up then the game is reset and players re-ante and the game is played again. If a queen of spades is dealt down to a player then it is a wildcard, At the showdown the pot is split between the player with the highest poker hand and the player with the highest spade up OR down. You cannot use the queen in the hole as a wildcard to win the chicago portion of the pot, excepting that it acts as a queen of spades.

Musculoskeletal System [Horse Racing]

Mushettae [Archery]
A type of crossbow bolt fletched with cardboard, 14th century.
  
Mushroom [Bingo]
A group of bingo displays which takes its name from its shape - it has a narrow tubular base, and a wider head with the machinery used to play the game and collect money from players. Customers sit around the mushroom to play, and there are usually 6 to 8 positions at each.
  
Mushroom Anchor [Sailing]
A type of anchor with a heavy inverted mushroom shaped head. Mushroom anchors are used to anchor in mud and other soft ground.

The short sticks used in arnis, usually about three feet in length.
  
Mutuel [General]
Price paid on a winning pari-mutuel wager.
  
Mutuel Clerk [Horse Racing]
An employee of the racetrack that except the patrons money and issues the betting ticket.

Mutuel Handle [Greyhound Racing]
The total sum wagered for a single performance or a full meeting.
  
Mutuel Pool [Horse Racing]
Short for "parimutuel pool." Sum of the wagers on a race or event, such as the win pool, daily double pool, exacta pool, etc.
  
Muzzle [Horse Racing]
A plastic device placed over a greyhound's mouth and jaw. The muzzle is designed to protect other greyhounds while racing and to determine the outcome of a race in a photofinish. Also a term defining the nose and lips of a horse.
  
Mvp [General]
Most Valuable Player. Leagues give MVP Awards to the best regular-season and to the outstanding player in championship games or series.
  
Mvp (Most Valuable Player) [Basketball]
An award recognizing the NBA player who contributed most to the regular season or to the Finals.

Mystery Intervals [Bingo]
This was bally marketing speak for the idea that something may or may not happen when a credit is played or a coin is deposited. The not-happening is what makes the games gambling devices in many jurisdictions. generally, something would improve initially as each coin/credit was played, but as the scores/features got better, it became more likely that cycling the machine flashes the lights but nothing else happens.
